Miaoli City Hall establishes Social Welfare Section to enhance the social welfare development and to take care of such disadvantageous groups as low-income households and lonely poor old men, physically challenged and social welfare groups.

A warm and cozy reception room is set up on the first floor to provide room for minority group chatting, counseling and social gathering. Miaoli City Hall also provides a special section for the disadvantageous to display bread and handicrafts made by them to help them earn more money.
